Casual Elegance at the Jersey Shore
Greetings from Bay Head, NJ!
Bay Head located on the Jersey Shore the last stop on the New Jersey Coastline Train, Bay Head is the beginning of a string of classic New Jersey beachfront towns that are more Hamptons than Honkey Tonk. While the carnival boardwalk, bars and amusement park of Point Pleasant is just a traffic circle away to the north, a visitor in Bay Head NJ could easily think he had stumbled back in time to a high-end resort of the Victorian age: the uncluttered ocean front is lined with large, shingle-style Beachfront mansions that sit majestically behind the sand dunes. Some of the spacious beachfront lots have brand new modern mansions, as well.
Bay Head is nestled between Point Pleasant Beach and Mantoloking. In the last century, the town was the summer retreat for the wealthy. Today, they are the beautifully maintained homes of a wealthy population, with quiet safe streets, and garden-party beauty. There is a boardwalk, however, it is a narrow set of planks that sits directly on the sandy front yards of these incredible beachfront homes. Lifeguards are on hand for those fortunate enough to be spending their summer here.
